EVENTS or ACTUAL OCCASIONS Whitehead tried defining geometric objects with Events or Actual Occasions. Russell did something similar with Events. I think (perhaps) Russell thought there was a maximum size of an event. Events were to be conceived as volumes of space time. Points, for example, would be conceived as classes of events, converging to a point. But this seems to presuppose the idea of a point. I suggest, as an idea for research, there be both minimum and maximum sizes of events. If to events overlapped, then the overlapping volume would also be an event.
