This book (from 2011), is full of revelations about how personal data is used on the web – and how it is filtered. I’m only about 1/4 thru it. How can one obtain an objective view of the news – and get it across to others in present and future???

I am concerned about the brain trauma caused by collisions in football. But I always enjoyed watching it. I know that there are efforts to make it safer, but the collisions seem inherent to the game. But nothing is totally safe. Where to draw the line?
I’m reading Perter Singer’s Practical Ethics. He makes a strong connection (which I do not accept) between ethics and pleasure vs. suffering. Thus I am (so far) unconvinced by his arguments.
I’m reading Rawl’s A Theory of Justice. It along with Hare’s The Language of Morals and Freedom and Reason has convinced me a correct account of subjunctive conditionals is needed for a correct theory of ethics. (And I think this requires a correct account of modal logic.)
